Update 0.1.2.0


I’m back with a new update for Wizard Duel. The game should be a lot better now and I’ve cleaned up some sloppy code. Next update might be a little one, but there are more big things in the works.

Wizard Duel Changelog 0.1.2.0

  • Added and redesigned particle effects
  • Created new default level set, which doesn’t feature some less well designed levels
  • Rebalanced Alchmist
    • Potion throw delay is now slightly longer, less spammy
    • Potion direct hit and splash damage down from 15 to 10, for a total of 20 damage on direct hit
    • Toxic fire now lasts a little longer
    • Reduced damage of alchemist 3rd skill from 35 to 25, and reduced healing from 30 to 25
  • Increased speed boost time on Hexblade
  • Decreased cooldown on Warlock’s orbital bolts
  • Reworked in-match health & cooldowns UI
    • Now displays player numbering
    • Heath is now in big fun font
    • Cooldown icons are bigger
    • Shows player win count
  • Maybe fixed bug with infinite controller vibration on death
  • Added damage particles when you get hit
  • Tweaked player colors
  • Added new player color for a total of 9 in total (game still only plays 8 players (maybe))
  • Added the ability to change your player color in the class selection screen by pressing the left shoulder button
  • Taunting now renders an indicator over your player’s head in case you lost track of them, also renders if left shoulder button was pressed
  • Glyphward glyph damage reduced to 25 from 35
  • Reduced Psychic 3rd skill cooldown to 30 seconds from 40
  • Probably fixed bug causing levels to be repeated over and over again in a match
  • Fixed bug where Warmage lightning bolt didn’t quite reach the wall when firing right
  • Added two new wizards
    • Pyromancer
      • First skill throws a bouncing fireball
      • Second skill fires a flamethrower
      • Third skill creates a bonfire that continuously ejects fireballs
    • Shaman
      • First skill launches a poisonous dart
      • Secpmd skill drops a bear trap to trap other players in place
      • Third skill summons exploding squirrels
  • Added gravestones to mark player deaths
  • Added unique end dialouge for if multiple players tie for victory
  • Fixed crash for trying to pause on debrief screen
  • Slightly increases sorcerer projectile velocity
  • Class selector now cycles instead of clamping
  • Added new levels:
    • Colosseum
      • Colosseum inspired level with spectator seating areas and a lava pit in the center
    • Trappers’ Twisted Tangle
      • Forest themed map filled with nooks, crannies, and bear traps.
  • Decreased projectile speed and damage of sorcerer 2nd skill
  • Reduced warlock 3rd skill damage from 65 to 50
  • Changed the way the warmage 3rd skill checks for hits and reduced it’s damage from 65 to 45
  • Tweaked various projectile attacks to hopefully have fewer issues
  • Replaced the trees on Arboreal Ice Field with actual tree tiles.
